Don't you just love getting little gifts and packages? Fro just arrived and finally after 2 weeks, I now have it:

Not only that, but I also got the 5th season of Grey's Anatomy plus surprise gifts from mommy, daddy and georgie! :)

Mommy sent some chocolates from his Europe trip, Georgie gave me the soundtrack of Glee and Daddy gave me a bag of Andes mints (which I already opened so I wasn't able to take a picture of it anymore...hihihi).

What a nice way to start my week!

I just watched with my brother and his gf and all I can say is, it was pretty intense! It's kinda scary seeing how everything was destroyed in seconds...still gives me the shivers. But it was a pretty good movie. The effects were awesome and all. And the scenes with the dads really hit me. :( But I don't think I'd watch this again soon...

Because of my recent purchase, I decided to give up the mini and just go for the iphone. I know I wasn't so keen into getting one before but since my brother just got one and even Gabby uses it more often than I do (he's really such a techy kid!), I changed my mind. I've been wanting to get a new phone for quite some time already but Nokia's not coming out with anything I really like. Lec's been telling me to get an iphone as well eversince and when I asked him if I should get a mini or an iphone, he was all for the fone.

With nothing much to do (and it's my only free time since it's a holiday), I headed to Globe in SM to inquire about upgrading my current plan so I could get the one that comes with the iphone (i would have a cash out of P24K for a 16GB 3Gs). I don't want to change my number as much as possible so getting a new plan was my last resort. But unfortunately, the Globe guy said that it's not possible to upgrade my plan to the iphone one. Damn. He suggested trying to call their customer service to see if I'm qualified for a free iphone as a new loyalty reward. My current reward (P1,200 credits every month for 2 years) is about to end so why not give it a try.

And good thing I did coz I was informed that with my average monthly bill (which reached about P5k a month - thanks to roaming when I was onshore), I am qualified for a free iphone - 16GB or 32GB, my choice! Obviously, I got the 32GB one. Yey! So now, I'm just waiting for the unit to arrive. I dropped by the Globe business center in Town (they'll be the one to release the fone) to ask how long it will take, but they can't give an exact timeline but hopefully, it will be within the month. They'll just give me a call when it's there already. But what the heck, it's a free fone so it won't hurt to wait for a bit.

My brother and I passed by the Apple store next to look for a case for his fone and when I saw this, I knew I just had to get it (take note of the pink one!):

There were only 2 stocks left and if I wait 'til I actually get my fone, it might be long gone and I would sure regret it. It's actually a very good buy since the entire set was only P1800 (a single case costs about P800). So there. My iphone cases are patiently waiting for the actual fone to arrive. Low EQ talaga 'ko. Hahaha. I just hope I get the call soon! :)

i gave in...

...and got myself a Kindle! Hahaha. I was so close to buying it already last Friday. It was already in my Shopping Cart but i held off from clicking the Place Order button (but I did reach the 'enter the shipping address' page). I kept the Amazon page opened though and every now and then, I went back to it and convinced myself if I should really get it. I still have 2 weeks so I decided to just think about it over the weekend. But sorry, low EQ ang lolah mo. The next day, my mom said that she wanted to get one for herself as well so without any second thoughts anymore, I placed an order for 2 Kindles! Hahaha. I got a matching pink leather case for mine (of course, it has to be pink!). I just got a notification that they were already shipped (yey!) and delivery date is on the 3rd. I can't wait to get my hands on it. I've already browsed through the Kindle store and I already have a line up of books that I wanna get. But I have to be patient for the next two weeks until Fro arrives with my package...effort!

Waaah! The Kindle now has an international version. I likey!!! I'm seriously thinking of getting this instead of the HP mini (my VAIO still works perfectly fine anyway). Imagine, books are just a minute away and the options are endless! Early christmas gift for myself? Why not?! :)

i want a mini!

I was initially thinking of replacing my laptop with the new VAIO CS series (of course, in pink) but it was quite pricey at 60k so I kinda held off for now. But then, I just saw the new HP mini 110 and I so like!!! I admit, the fact that it's pink has everything to do with me wanting it...hahaha. But really, it's way cheaper than the VAIO laptop and I've been thinking of getting a netbook anyway for traveling and going around. Hmmm, seems I'll be making a trip to Town tomorrow!

hello!

I chanced upon Lec online on YM so I sent him a message and the next thing I knew, I heard a phone ringing which was weird coz it wasn't coming from my celfone nor the landline. It took several seconds before I realized that it was coming from my laptop (sorry, I just came home from work and my brain cells are pretty drained - too slow to think...hahaha). Lec was calling thru YM!

It has been ages since I last used YM voice and back then, I needed a mic and earphones. I didn't have any now so I just clicked the 'answer' button, expecting that it won't work. But surprisingly, I heard Lec's 'hello' loud and clear! I tentatively answered back and it worked! We were actually talking! Hahaha. I never knew that my laptop had a built in mic thingy. Coolness! For some reason, we didn't think that we can talk this way - we usually call each other thru our celfones (which can be very expensive!). So now, I have something to look forward to when I come home. We get to talk (as long as we want...for free!) as I end my day and just as he's about to start his. At least now I won't have to worry about my phone bill.

I ended up spending the afternoon with my brother and his girlfriend at Town. With really nothing else planned for the rest of the day, we decided to watch Julie and Julia. It was a pretty good film but it made us hungry for French cuisine after so we headed to Bizu for dinner. It kinda sucks being the third wheel but it's way better than being stuck at home. I must admit, it was nice to bond with my brother...something that we don't get to do that often. In fairness, my Saturday ain't that bad after all!
