what's better than mint?

These days, it takes so little to brighten up my day. As I strolled along the aisles of S&R, my eyes lit up when I saw the Christmas packaging of one of my fave chocolates. I just love chocolate with mint...but make that peppermint and that is a sure winner! Oh, and it comes in this cute candy cane design in PINK! Yummy! I think I better buy more and stock up...hehehe :)

I can't wait for the long holiday weekend. I sooo need the break! What timing for work to be so toxic - right before the holidays...waaah! I'm really dreading the next couple of weeks, especially come January. Talk about adik! Sarap talagang sabihing 'Are you drugs?!' Haaaay. Isang malaking goodluck talaga.

Freebies

After about a month and 17 (?) cups of Peppermint Mocha, I finally got this:

This is the longest that it took for me to complete the Starbucks stickers for the planner. I usually get the planner in just a week or a week and a half tops. Last year, Lec and I were able to get 2 planners in less than a month! But with him not around, I don't get to drink coffee on a daily basis anymore unless Ochie and company heads down and I come along. Hehehe.

Then earlier today, I got the much awaited message from Globe: my iphone has arrived - a 32GB 3Gs white unit for FREE! :) Thanks to extended mall hours, I was able to make it to Alabang Town Center on time.

24 days

It's less than a month left before Christmas and yet, I'm not feeling the holiday season. I dunno...I guess work is one factor (it has been more stressful than usual lately!) and of course, the fact that he's not here dampened my holiday spirit as well. I haven't shopped anything for Christmas yet, nor have started with my list. Waaaah. Goodluck! I don't even know what to get for my family and friends. I have something in mind already for him but I'm not so sure yet if i'll go with that...have to ask his roomie again if there's anything he wants since he won't tell me himself what he wants for Christmas. Double effort for me given that I'm kinda limited to the things in Amazon. Hahaha.

But seriously, Christmas is my favorite holiday and I should be excited and all already by now. But I'm just not feeling it. I haven't even completed the Starbucks stickers thing yet - not even with the comeback of the Peppermint Mocha :(

Have to get into the holiday mode. ASAP.

New Moon

Finally got to watch New Moon with my brother, his girlfriend, my sis and my bro-in-law. Kinda sucks that this time around I'm the 5th wheel but I had Edward's and Jacob's abs to compensate for that. Hahaha! I liked the movie better than the 1st one and it wasn't that bad as some other people said it was.

This is one of those moments when I really miss having him around. He also watched this with some of the Inver Grove folks and he said that he immediately thought of me and wished we were watching it together...same here, dear! :(

I hope that by the time Eclipse comes out, I'll have him right beside me as we watch it together in the big screen...

Teambuilding

To have a bigger budget, Och and I decided to just combine the teambuilding of our teams and what fun it was! This is actually Part 2 already (the 1st one being a team lunch out at Dad's) and even after a whole night of eating, drinking and singing, we still have enough left for another one!

Who would have thought that Jomacs is one heck of a singer? And Mark was so game with the whole Robert thing! Hahaha.

Fun night indeed. 'Til the next teambuilding! :)

missing you...

I usually don't bring my fone with me when I go out for lunch so when I returned to my desk earlier, I was happily surprised to see a missed call from Lec given that it was already midnight there. I called him back and yey, he was still up so we were able to chat before he headed to bed. The past week has been quite busy for both of us and it was only today that we got to talk again. And my gad, I just miss him so much! It's now close to 2 months since he left but it feels so much longer. We're both looking forward to spring when I'll come visit him but how I wish it can be sooner.

It was really nice talking to him right in the middle of a very toxic day for me. I can't wipe off the smile from my face as I happily typed away (Ochie gave me a puzzled look, seeing me so happy as she passed by my cube...hihihi), but at the same time I can't help but feel quite sad since he's so far :(

But nevertheless, he never fails to give me more reason to love him more each day :)

Miss you so much, dear...can't wait to be with you again...

Don't you just love getting little gifts and packages? Fro just arrived and finally after 2 weeks, I now have it:

Not only that, but I also got the 5th season of Grey's Anatomy plus surprise gifts from mommy, daddy and georgie! :)

Mommy sent some chocolates from his Europe trip, Georgie gave me the soundtrack of Glee and Daddy gave me a bag of Andes mints (which I already opened so I wasn't able to take a picture of it anymore...hihihi).

What a nice way to start my week!

I just watched with my brother and his gf and all I can say is, it was pretty intense! It's kinda scary seeing how everything was destroyed in seconds...still gives me the shivers. But it was a pretty good movie. The effects were awesome and all. And the scenes with the dads really hit me. :( But I don't think I'd watch this again soon...

Me: waaah...dear, how about if it's 50% off? :) (knowing that there's always a 50%-off deal at the outlet)
Lec: ok....maybe the bag should cost less than $250...i mean $200... so it should be $199 and below
Me: $250! (though there are a lot below $200 with the discounted price...but still!)
Lec: hahaha
Me: how about $250, xmas AND bday gift?! 2 in 1 na yan! that's a good deal!
