Work has been quite stressful these past days (but not mordor-level stress - nothing can top that!) - had to finish the forward port effort (I so hate replenishment!), complete the documentation for the Operations Guide, prepare for our monthly quality meeting and turnaround integration defects as fast as we can! Waaah. One word to describe this week - nosebleed!
We needed a break so Ros, Joel, Lawrence and I suggested happy hour, and Lyn (and Vince) and Nette were up for it (too bad Ochie gurl had to go home early today)! Yey! So we headed to Agave at High Street right after work. They had a buy-2-get-1 promo on mojitos so we went for it:
The strawberry one was really good (I'll remember to get that instead of the margaritas next time)! We initially thought of just getting some appetizers but with Joel around, that won't do. We ended up getting this:
We didn't realize how hungry we were coz in about 15-minutes later...
It shouldn't have been happy hour but early dinner with drinks instead! Hahaha. We passed by Krispy Kreme before heading home since Lyn and Nette wanted to get some doughnuts for take out, and right on time, the red light was on so free original glazed doughnuts for everyone! How can we say no to that? As what Joel said, his diet efforts (we didn't know that he was actually cutting back!) for the past weeks went to waste on that sinful treat. I was supposed to have dinner with my mom and brother afterwards...but I ended up just watching them eat. I was just so full!
It was fun relaxing for a bit with good friends over drinks and food (lots of food!) - without having to think about NFs, ReSA, transfers, SIM, RWMS and what not. We should do this more often...but next time, remember that happy hour is not dinner! ;)
